Alan Naul is organising a brand new 50cc event at Mallory park next April !
Alan has this to announce ……
“I am organising a 50cc race at Mallory Park, for 50cc machines, on Sunday 24th April 2016.
This is run by EMRA and they will give us our own grid of 50cc bikes providing we can guarantee 20 entries.
This will be for both Classic and Freetech bikes.
I need to know ASAP [within a week or two] if realistically we can muster up 20 bikes that will commit to this.
It is essential that EMRA know ASAP so that they can build this into their regulations and entry details for next year.
Hopefully all our 50cc lads and ladies will support this, as many have indicated that this is the type of race and circuit that they would love to be involved with.
Please can you register your commitment via email to email@example.com.
With the proviso that there is a full grid of 50cc machines, David Blunt, (DB TELECOM Coventry ) will award the following prize money:
Overall 1st £100.00
Overall 2nd £50.00
Overall 3rd £35.00
Overall 4th £15.00
Please support this event and if there are any other sponsors out there please join in.
This will, without doubt, be a crowd pleaser !! “

28th MARCH 2016
What a dramatic start to the season ! A wet start to the 2016 race season at Tonfanau turned even wetter by 2 o/c resulting in the whole meeting being abandoned due to appalling conditions.
The first 50cc race began in a horizontal hail storm which eased slightly during the race to allow all 8 laps.
Machine failures in the morning, probably due to the extreme weather, resulted in 2 failures to start the race and 1 retirement. Ernie Parry fought valiantly on, eventually falling foul of the weather & wisely pulling in to the paddock due to heavy buffeting from gale force winds.
The first club member over the line and 6th overall was new club member Marty Robbins on a Minarelli who closely chased 50cc event entrant Hudson Kennaugh of BSB and TT fame !
Classic 50 club member James Widdowson was the next member to finish, James also had an outing on a 250cc machine later in the day.
Club members bravely lined up for the second race of the day ( the club championship round ) in conditions worse than that of the first race. However, after the sighting lap the organisers sensibly decided to abandon the meeting altogether.
The committee are currently deciding what to do about the points situation whilst drying out !!
One lovely thing did happen during the day, during a merciful 5 minute break in the weather, club members navigated the muddy paddock to present long time club member James ( Albert ) Gellatly with a gift for his 80th birthday. The gift was an original framed painting of one of his bikes.
