A mainstay of the club dealing with the day to day running of the club, Alan is the first point of contact for general enquiries relating to club activities and race events.
Alan, director of Rapid Light Transport Ltd, has an impressive stable of 50cc machines and is a keen, accomplished and highly competitive racer.
Keen to see the club grow, and increase the 50cc presence at race meetings, Alan is always keen to engage with the public, interested parties and potential new members.

Sydney loved bikes from a young age and flirted briefly with racing a 1976 Suzuki TR500 (Barry Sheene Replica), but moved into Porsche 911 racing during the 1980's and 1990's. In 1996 real success arrived, winning the Porsche Club Classic Championship in class three, racing a beautiful 911 2.4 T.
In 2000 Sydney retired from running his own International road Haulage business, bought a Hymermobil 700 motorhome and for the next ten years, with his wife, toured Europe and the USA.
After retuning to the UK in 2010, Syd started a motorcycle touring club “The Touring Knights” which is still up and running to this day.

Steve Porter is our club chairman again this year.
A keen and competitive club racer in both 50cc and 125cc classes, Well known in the paddock for his immaculately prepared machinery Steve Is keen to see the club thrive and grow in 2016.
Steve , a popular figure within the club, is managing director of Steve Porter Transport Group Ltd, and brings a wealth of managerial expertise to the club with a considered and well ordered approach to his club role as chairman this year.
Easily recognisable as probably one of the tallest members of our club, Steve is always pleased to talk to the public at race meetings and encourage new membership, and has a genuine passion and enthusiasm for the tiny bikes of our 50cc club.

TECHNICAL COMMITTEE MEMBER
Steve Lawton again joins the team as a technical committee member this year.
Steve Lawton has been a well known figure in club racing for many years and has a particular passion for ultra lightweight machinery.
A highly accomplished builder of immaculately prepared lightweight machinery, Steve is also a well respected motorcycle racer of many years competitive racing both here in the U.K. and on the continent and very well known amongst the stars of motorcycle racing.
At almost every 50cc event many examples of Steve’s 50cc creations can be seen racing, piloted by many of our club members.
Steve is a highly enthusiastic and valuable asset to our technical committee, given that that there is little he doesn’t know about building, tuning and racing motorcycles and the history of 50cc racing, and he is always keen to help newcomers into any branch of lightweight motorcycle racing.

Ian Cowley continues as a technical committee member this year.
Ian, who has been racing with the club for a few years now, and who is a past winner of the Tonfanau 50cc championship, has a wealth of technical historical and racing experience around all classes and capacities of racing motorcycles.
Ian, probably one the nicest people you’ll ever meet, is now self employed as a pest controller, but worked for many years in the engineering industry and has a passion for all things engineering, and is always delighted to talk about motorcycle racing !

NON RACING EVENTS COORDINATOR
Sally and Gary Bennett are club member Bradley Wilson’s mother and step father.
Sally joins the team for the first time this year as our non racing events coordinator and organiser of a new scheme to provide, for a small fee, evening refreshments to those club members camping overnight at the circuits.
They have been in hospitality for nearly 20 years, Sally having her own catering business and latterly running pubs.
They became involved with motorcycle racing when Bradley decided he wanted to race 50's and really enjoy the weekends away, especially the social side !
They are really looking forward to the 2018 season and hope that everyone will join them for some hopefully memorable times to come!
